K&N air filter, remove the silencer cone and put another hole in the airbox along side it, custom airbox tube, port matched intake manifold, camshaft, electric fan, phenolic spacer between lower intake and plenum, cat back exhaust setup, and a rear end gear swap should all help. Some of this is fairly cheap and some of this is expensive. Also you may be able to put headers from a ranger on it but I'm not sure about clearance.
