Hey Quack!
Some of us have read most all your posts.
You would be doing yourself a big favor if you would let us help you with advise before you take action. That's what we're all here for.
You should ask that mechanic if he in fact DID check the flywheel for damage. Point blank.
This should help determine if he is responsible for the problem you have now. If it is actually a damaged flywheel & the tranny has to come out again, he should give you a break on the labour at the very least.
Think about it a while. I'm sure you understand what i"m telling you.
AL.
P.S. Get him to top up the blinker fluid too!
well i did talk to my mechanic, but not about the flywheel, he told that there was about a 99% chance that my starter was shot, and about a 1% chance that it was something else, and wouldnt you guess, it wasnt the starter cuz i talked autozone into replacing the other one. he says it could be there ignition switch or the cylinder lock.
if it's not that, i have a feeeling it was something he did, but im not quite sure jsut yet. any info on how to test the ignition switch and how to get to it wwould rock!

Hey quack. Still having trouble with that bolt I see. I agree with Dealford here. The mechanics first instinct when getting that bolt out of the housing was to inspect the flywheel while he was there to verify it didnt get messed up. He probably didnt volt test the starter to verify it was shot either. Either follow Dealfords advice or go somewhere else since he really didn't do you a whole lot of justice.
yeah im definetly starting to agree with you guys. im starting to realize that all of this stuff that is linked to the bolt, happened after i took it in. so were gonna get to the bottom of this and have them look at it again and fix what they broke!
thanks again for the help everyone!

Quack i have to agree with every one else It sounds like your flywheel. Take someone with you when u talk to the mechanic. Ask him straight out did he check your flywheel. When u take your starter out can u see the teeth of the flywheel at all?. Also make sure u have the wright starter. Autozone does give out the wrong part sometimes. Good luck Quack
well guys i took my truck in yesterday and i just got a call back from the mechanic. he told me what was wrong w/ my truck. lol, once again, it was my fault, i had the starter solenoid hooked up wrong on the fender so the starter was getting all the power or sumthing. so tomorow i get my truck back and i can be happy again WOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
