fuel cut off

fuel cut off
Ok so i was driving down the LIE yesterday and when i hit aproximatly 100 the truck cut off n stopped accelerating, is this like some kind of fuel cut out or what because i was only in 4th gear and could have pulled farther. if its an electrical thing is there a way around it?

Because it's the LIE(Long Island Expressway )and they can get away with it......"Do you know who my father is???.....he'll have you shovelling the bilges on the trash barges for the next 50 years......." and New Yawkers absolutely LOVE to ABUSE perfectly good machinery ;^)
