Like they said, normal. If it quits you have a problem unless it's 0% humidity. Here in ol Fla we have 100% most of the time so it goes a lot. BTW if it quits your drain is plugged an needs to be cleaned.
Like purple says - if it stops is when you have to worry !!!
You cool air by compressing it (I guess that's a good name for the COMPRESSOR :-)
and just like a wet towel when you squeeze it, the water comes out !
I almost had a COW when I went to the middle east and our A/C was just a water cooler ---- all they did was add humidity to the air --- coming from South La... I thought I'd melt, but in the dry air there it actually cooled quite nicely...
Tim, is that what you desert dwellers have ? the Evaporative coolers ?
We are so dry here..... thinking about recycling condensation
Yes on the evaps and they work very well, we are normaly at about 9 to 17%.
Rains...jumps to 80% gone in ten minutes, my house is right a 5995 so we are very high desert.
If the dripping bugs you.....I find that if you shut off the A/C before you stop the vehicle (approx. a block or a few house lengths away) it keeps if from dripping underneath your truck when you're stopped!! I got into a habit of doing this with my last truck ('99 V10) and there hasn't been a puddle under my truck since!
