TURBO is to quiet.
I have a 2000 Excursion with a 7.3 PSD with 91,000 miles on it, and my fuel milage has dropped some. I was noticing the other day that I could not here the TORBO any more. also I noticed a little pool of oil on top of the manifold, under the TURBO. Got any good ideas. Thanks

Any other symptoms besides a milage drop? A blown turbo will also be accompanied by a huge power loss, and generally a large cloud of oil smoke following you around.

I have the same problem with engine oil poolling under the turbo, also evidence of oil leak at the connecting hose leading to the intercooler infront of the engine.
I brought the vehicle 2000 ex psd to the dealer this morning, and I was told that the turbo is not covered under the 100K mileage. The mechanic thinks that the leak might be coming from the turbo pedestal and I have to pay the parts and labor to replaced it. I was also told that the oil around the hose leading to the air cooler is normal. Is it true that turbo problem is not covered by the warranty? Is it true that oil leak at the hose connector to the intercooler is normal?
Thanks for the input. jamesj
