This is what I get for staying up into Fathers day?? 6AM..when I went to bed?
I picked up a TCI 2500 rpm stall used for $75 I hope I didnt get taken..
It was used in my cousins 69 torino for about a month..he thought the stall was to high and pulled it out..
Come to find out his trans was slipping!! LOL!! anyway..I got a deal on it..But not as good as Seans deal!! Had to throw that in Sean...
I have sold most of my 390 stuff now..just for an update guys...
Im going to be building a 428 CJ .030 over. With all My Edel RPM stuff ,heads, RPM intake, It wont be a stroker like Gtex's..standard crank 3.980..but 10/10 polished.. my 750 Holley DP..and my FPA headers..Speedpro/TRW Forged Pistons CR of 10.66 to 1 with -10.3 cc reliefs .085 dish..
And I think I will make the next Jump to the CRN #349541...
Anyone Maybe Kurt? I would ask Sean too but Its Daddys day..Care to run a DD for me..Imjust rel curious?? You know me!! LOL!
And Happy Pappy's Day to all the Dads out there from my home to your's
Ya I kinda thought that Greg.... It was just a thought..been up all night drinking Beer... be good to your dad today..I lost mine a year ago today!!
Anyway...ya your probably right..I do want the truck in my truck..thats one reason why I really didnt want to go to a higher stall?? Just something nasty for the street..and run with the 4 banger pinto's at the strip!! LOL!!
With the normal 2.02, 1.55 valves and the RPM intake, you would be making 474hp @ 6000, and 472 ft-lbs @ 4500.
For that cam and TC, I'd really suggest upgrading to CJ sized valves and at least a single plane intake. With those upgrades, you're making 538hp @ 6000rpm, and 500 ft-lbs @ 5000rpm.
Also, running straight pipes without mufflers makes a huge difference... I ran those numbers with mufflers.
I really hope you seriously beef up that valvetrain. Also, it's gonna take some very strong springs to keep those lifters on that cam.
Those numbers look a little generous in my opinion.
BTW, I think Russ is running the Edel heads wit hthe 2.09/1.66 valves. You shold also get the flow values for the Edel heads if possbile. I think there are some listed on teh Edel site.
Ya gregs right kurt, I do have the 2.090/1.660 valves..but I havent built the motor yet just gathering all the parts.. I could go for the larger valves?
I kept them at that size for the 390 I was going to build...but what the hell..it will only take me another six months and pimp my golden retriever out to get bigger valves? Thanks Kurt..
PS..Greg is right tho ..after I thought about it while taking a nap..I dont want to lose the truck in my truck...

I have the flow numbers for the edelbrock heads, that's what I used. Been there, done that.
With mufflers, the Performer RPM, CJ valves and the edelbrock flow data that I used before that I took off they're website at least 6 months ago, you're at 493hp @ 6000rpm, and 476 ft-lbs @ 5000rpm.
I will be uploading some screenshots of the DD2k for you in a few minutes. Tell me if you see anything that's not right.
Kurt..I can read the graph..but I cant read the numbers to the left in the legend?
Of course, it might be my 50 year old eyes too? can ya email them to me?
Thanks..Russ
Edit: I think Crane calls for 120 on the seat and 344 on the nose..for the 521
and I think its Like 130 on the seat and 400 on the nose? I think? for the 541
