Yo. Yeah, I'm new, but I got a good challenge for ya.
I've just picked up a 64~65 (est) 390 4bbl engine and an FMX out of a Tbird. I'm going to put them in my 1980 FS Bronco. What am I going to need to attach the FMX to a transfer case, and what would be the best way to mount the 390 in the bay.
My previous plan of a 400M went out the window when the old Elite dissapeared out of my friend's yard. So I have perches for a 351M/400 for my 80. Will they work, or need modded?
I've got a lot of questions, so I'd appreciate any help y'all can give.
i dought 351/400 perches are going to work for an FE, no matter what you do its going to need some modifacation, ill talk to one of my friends he put a 360 in a 80 bronco, ill see if i can get some tips for ya.

Thanks, I'm willing to take any help I can get. Anybody else have any ideas?
alright i got some info he put a 360 FE in an 80 bronco, he used FE motor mounts out of a 76 f250 that had an FE in it, he used the same C6 tranny out of the 76, he re-drilled the tranny mount bolts farther back to accept the C6 tranny in the bronco and had a custom shorter driveshaft made, i didnt have a chance to ask him about the transfer case, etcc for the 4 wheel drive. but that should give you an idea. good luck :-)
Just a bummer of a thought here.. Will you run into any emission issues on your "new" bronco there in the fine state of AZ when it come time to renew your tags?

Not in Yuma County, Maricopa County (Phoenix) has the emissions laws.
