Hello americans this is........

Hello americans this is Paul Harvey....stand by for newws.

I was wondering how many of us make a point of listening to Paul Harvey at noon.

I don't know how long he has been on the air...but it has been for as long as I can remember.

I sure will miss his newscast when he retires

I Used to listen all the time but the stupis stations around here have dicontinued his commentary and "the Rest of the Story." Paul Sr. is the only way to go, Paul Jr. is not as good.

I don't think I have ever heard Paul, Jr, but dad is, and has been for as long as I can remember, awesome to listen to. I hope he never retires!

Paul Jr. Filled in for dad when he had surgery or something.

Praying to God for mercy on our ears, I don't think that Retirement is what we have to worry about.

Here is his BIO

So, doing a little math- 1933, he was in high school, so he had to have been at least 14 at the time, plus 71 years, would make him approximately 85-ish? Wow, what a great legacy!! It will be a sad day when he finally calls it quits- or God decides that he needs to hear the rest of the story in heaven...

When I was in the 8th grade, we had about a 20 min bus ride to get to school and the driver played the radio with Paul Harvey every morning. It was always pretty quiet in that bus, everyone was listening. That was in 1973, it just amazes me that he's still going strong. Go, Paul! -TD

I always enjoyed his "rest of the story" bits. Yea, I'd say at this point he is a piece of Americana...just wouldn't be same without him.

I listen to his lunchtime show, and enjoy his news and stories. But for some reason his advertising pitches rub me the wrong way. He shills for everything like it was snake oil. If you could cut out the ads, his show would be much better.
