well, just have someone get inside the cab and turn the wheel and see if there is play at each tie rod. If you do replace your steering components, replace them with moog stuff. I replaced all of my steering arms and the moog tie rods are about 1.5 times larger than the stock ones. Now if you have loose steering, you can also adjust the steering box for a tighter adjustment. Just park the truck on level ground and point the wheels straight. Loosen the jam nut on the steering box, it will be on top with a bolt sticking out, and tighten the bolt until tight, then loosen 1/4 turn and tighten the jam nut. Hope this helps.
