I hate doing this but time to sell the bronco. Don't have the money to put into it right now. Hopefully somebody out there does. the bronco's listed in the classifieds. Maybe i'll pick up another in a few months.
Gosh JD - I'm so sorry to hear that. What does it need? Maybe we can help find stuff real cheap for you?
If you have to sell I understand BUT - you'd BETTER NOT leave this site or more importantly this Chapter! We appreciate you as a member & friend & you'll always be welocme ok? Who knows - maybe this is a blessing in disguise! Maybe you'll get a truck you like better soon!
Good luck & if the Chapter or I can help, let us know ok?
needs a new engine - just found a 79 bronco in the local ppaper today. going to look at it tomorrow. ad says need body work. Rust what rust? it's got a 351m and new exhaust. hopefully its a good truck and will last longer. Don't worry I AIN'T leaving. you can't get rid of me that easily!
Sorry to hear about the choice you had to make. If you need a hand or advice on that 79 feel free to ask, Its been my vehicle of choice for the last 10 years or so.
Went to see the 79 bronco tonite. Its a 79 Bronco Ranger XLT with 351m, Auto Trans. Body has usual rust arond the wheel wells and truck was primed. Needs to be sanded and primed again. New dual exhaust. 31x10.50x15 BFG's. Sounds great. Plenty of power. Best part - $700.00.
Thats a decent price for a runner. Wheel wells and tailgates are usually the trouble spots for body rust, next is whe roof above the winshield and the floor near the front of the door opening. Good luck with it if you choose to grab it
79 T.S , put a deposit on it and will hopefullly be picking it up this weekend. has rust on the wheel wells, tailgate is in good condition, he replaced it recently. The guy selling it is the second official owner. third driver. the second driver was the original's son. Truck moves pretty good when i step on it.
JD - That's a great truck. Good luck with it. I had a "77 F-150 (cousin to your new Bronco) before I got my '99 SD. Sometimes I wish I still had the 150 as I wasn't afraid to get that into places and beat the snot out of it. The SD is too nice of a truck so I tend to worry too much about it to keep it nice.
Best of luck with it and post up pictures when you can.
Glad to hear it went well. They may not have all the creature comforts of the later model trucks but they are built stout enough to put up with hard driving that would kill the others. Keep us posted on it and good luck !
THE 89 IS SOLD. Recieved a check as a deposit yesterday. Sold the 33" tires as well to someone else. Now i just have to wait for the buyer to come back from overseas to pick it up.
