460/Powerstroke Diesel transmission bolt patterns
This might be way off, but I herd a rumor that the Powerstroke Diesel and Big blocks shared transmission bolt patterns. The reason I ask is I have a 86 Big Bronco with a mildly built 460 and a C6 auto. I would like to swich to a manual transmission, perferably the M6OD, offered only behind the current Powerstroke equiped trucks. The M6OD seems like a good canidate, as it is a 6 speed with a granny gear (over 5:1) and an overdrive, and are rated at 500 ftlbs of torque. I know for a year or two the 460 and PSD were offered at the same time, and shared simalar transmisson options, but I don't know about the bolt patterns. Any thoughts would be apprecated.
