Will Bedextender Clear Tonneau Cover Rails?

Will a Ford stock bedextender clear the side rails of a tonneau cover when you flip it over? I am specifically looking at the TruXedo Lo-Profile cover. My truck is a 2004 Screw, but I doubt that the model matters.

Thanks for any help!

Unhappy

rljphx,

Nope ... sorry

I'm in the same situation. '04 Screw on order and thought about Truxedo or Access cover. The rails for these two stick out approx. 3-3/4 inches, and there is only about 2-1/2 inches of clearance between the extender and the box.

I am now deciding between the Fold-A-Cover, Advance Cover, and Retrax. These will all be OK with the extender.

Mike

Edit: WOW, first post on this board. I've been reading the forums like crazy and gained so much info from everyone ... about time I could help someone else.

If, anyone finds a Bed Extender that works for a Truxedo Bed Cover, please let us know! I would like to get one for my F250 but do not want to by and find out it does not work!

Thanks!

I just put a Snugtop SL on my Lariat Supercrew. The bed extender (came on the truck) works just fine.

I really like the Snugtop SL. It came painted to match - fully carpeted underneath - quality hinge and rail set up with gas struts, and best of all to close it you just "slam" it down (like closing a trunk on a car) and it latches and locks. To unlock it you just unlock the one lock (in the center) instead of having to unlock two separate locks like other covers.

It wasn't cheap (about a grand) but it's worth it.

Decided not to go with extender, I went with the rear hitch extender platform that I can add a net and such with, will work great with camping and such!
