Powerstroke HD Torque Conv. Part #
I have a '95 F250 with a powerstroke and a E40D. I think that the torque converter is going out. It is my understanding that ford has a heavy duty torque converter to put in E40D's that will take care of the problem of them getting shredded by the torque put out by these engines. I just don't know what the part number is. Our local ford dealer doesn't seem to want to know anything about this. So, I'm hoping someone might be able to help me out with the part number. Thanks

I wouldn't go with another Ford T/C. I've read where many poeple have had 2 or 3 installed meaning multiple failures. There are good aftermarket T/C's available that stand up to the torque of the PSD. Try Dial-a-clutch.com and I'm sure they can refer you to a good replacement.
