accumlator/ dryer
I just replaced the accumlator/dryer or receiver(whatever you want to call it). It was the orginal one. There was a thin piece of foam wrapped around the cylinder itself with a zip tie. it was also rusted beneath it and that had caused the cylinder wall to fail and then the system began to leak. Just as an FYI remove that foam before its to late!!! The condensation was being retained/trapped by the foam allowing water to be pressed against the accumlator. (design flaw or Fords attempt at getting more repair $$$??
