Question turn crankshaft pulley

here shortly I'm goin to install my new bully dog shift kit.
I obviously have to drain the fluid in the process, while
I'm at it I'm going to drain the refill the fluid. Anyhow, to
the point if the torque converter drain plug isnt lined up
at the bottom or close, I will have to turn the crank pulley
bolt to line it up right? Also how much fluid does it hold &
how will I refill it with the drain at the bottom, with a hand
pump?, does it take mercon atf also?
