Installing 3 gauge pillar mount??

Installing 3 gauge pillar mount??
Now that I've decided to do something about bettering the performance of my 2000 PSD, I've decided to do gauges first... pyro, tranny temp, and boost. Should this be down by a pro or is it something I can manage. I've tinkered all my life with autos and can follow an instruction or two. Just wondering if I'll start needing to buy new tools, etc. And, willthe instructions state where to run the wiring to be least restrictive?
Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance.

Here's a site I found helpful:

Running wires from the pillar to the engine compartment was the toughest part. Oh - laying on your back under the truck while you S-L-O-W-L-Y drill a hole in your exhaust manifold is fun too.

Autometer guages are great. Take your time drilling the exhaust manifold, start with small bit and work the drill bits up to pyro sensor size (depending on brand). If Autometer 21/64 drill bit is what I stopped at for a perfect tap. Also, if Autometer, make sure you mount the sensor from the boost according to directions, so it can drain the moisture from the Map sensor line properly. The pillar mount is a breeze.

Pryo sensor
There is one thing to watch out for when drilling/tapping the manifold for the pyro – chips. You don’t want any chips running through your turbo. I used a magnet to collect all chips as I drilled and tapped. A magnet with a 3 or 4 inch piece of rebar tie wire can collect stuff out of the hole. When you run the pipe tap down do not tap too deep – leave the last six threads of the tap outside the hole. Take your time, its not tough, take a break, have a brewski.

I too wish to install a 3 pod gauge cluster on the A pillar - tranny temp, boost, and EGT.
Would you be so kind as to email me the instructions as you mentioned above.
Thanks.
