Just bought a PSD with 120K, What maintenance should I do?
I just bought a '97 F-350 with a PSD and five-speed. The truck will be here in about a week.
The truck has 120,000 miles, and I'm not sure of it's previous history. What should I look for, and what procedures should I do, excluding the obvious, like fluid changes, etc. Any additives, cleaners, etc. that I should or shouldn't use?
I'm really excited, I got the truck on ebay of all places for only $8200.00.

Check the coolant to see if there is any FW-16 additive in it. If not, drain and flush the cooling system, add 4 gallons of low silicate antifreeze, 4 pints of FW-16 and top off with about 4 gallons of distilled water. With that mileage I would change all the fluids and filters so you have a base starting point for maintanance.
