incremental mods
new guy here. f250 2wd. need order of mods. got guages!!! want to buy tymar next (107k miles) now on the exhaust they sell just a 4" downpipe kit only what can i expect from the down pipe only? also at what point do i need to add a trans cooler or a trans commander. i use the truck as a daily driver but plan to tow extensively. should i do the tranny stuff before any engine mods or is there a certain point at which the tranny needs help? thanks

Having gauges first is a great idea. It'll help you measure the improvement future mods create. Since you're on the right track already, stay the course, and get the tranny mods before adding any more power. A sonnax valve and tricumulator springs, as well as a Tru-Cool tranny cooler would be wise, then pour the coal to it.
The downpipe itself will help some, but going with a full 4" exhaust, while ditching the cat, will make a much bigger improvement. After that's done, think chip. Then, propane.
