How about a "sticky" with gallery instructions?

I'd like to suggest that a "sticky" be posted at the top of this gallery with the basic instructions for; (1) creating a gallery, and (2) creating an Avitar.

I did the "right" thing by coming to this forum to try to find out information on posting photos, however 99% of the threads consist of someone asking how to create a gallary, followed by a response saying to search this forum! I suppose if I searched every one of the hundreds of threads I'd eventually find out the answers, but I'll bet a lot of folks would appreciate a "sticky" at the top that defined what an "Avitar" is and gave basic posting instructions.

Yeti created a FAQ at the top of the Super Duty forum that's extremely helpful. Can someone PLEASE do the same for the Gallery forum? Forgive me if something like this already exists and I simply missed it.

It's been done before, it's my long time experience,that it doesn't help/work.
Besides we like to answer some of the tough ones.

Thanks though,It shows that you care about the system.

Mil1ion,
Thanks very much for the quick response. I agree that a gallary FAQ wouldn't do anything to stop people from posting questions in other forums asking how to post pictures to their gallaries, but at least it would provide some useful information for them after they were directed to this forum! Please reconsider - the sticky post could be quite brief and only cover the basics. I don't see how it could hurt. I'm sure there will still be tough questions that will require individual answers.

That's what I was saying, the basic instructions have been stickied at least 3 times and people still continue to ask "how to"

We can't do everything, people should be able to think "somewhat for themselves" and Look around to see if it has ever been asked and then just read it.
