Wow !!!
So I've had my '03 F350 6.0 for about 4 months now, but untill this weekend I really haven't pushed it. Well, we just got done hauling a large trailer along with a full payload in the bed over several mountain passes, and I gotta say ... WOW!! I'm impressed! This thing HAULS A$$! I was flying by the Cummins, Duramaxes, Hemi's etc. at 70 mph, and that 6.0 still had plenty of margin left! It was kinda cool hearing that variable-vane turbo kicking up and down, guess the sucker really does it's job!
Also, I just had the latest flash downloaded last week. I've read here about problems with the tow/haul mode with a previous flash, but mine works perfectly. Keeps the powerband up when needed, and kicks down and locks just like it should on the downgrades.
Anyway, this sort of performance almost makes up for the fact that it's spent more time in the shop than my driveway ... almost but not quite. We'll see, maybe this truck will grow on me!
