Sorry to beat a dead horse

Hey guys. I have a quick question for you. Today I pulled a camper for the first time and turned the overdrive off. I was going down the highway and was afraid to go much over 60 because of the rpm's (about 2600) I live in Kentucky where it is pretty hilly. What do you think about using overdrive on the interstate. Just wondering, Thanks for the help... Mike

no problem using OD on flat stretches or slight to moderate inclines. As soon as the tranny starts seeking (hunting) take the OD out. Been doing that for many miles without problems.

Yep, keep it in OD unless the tranny starts seeking.

Same here, just keep it in OD unless it is seeking alot. I pull up to 14,000 with no problems so far. That is with really good trailer brakes on 3 axles though.

That means it is shifting in and out of OD frequently.
