Oil Change

Just changed the oil and filter on my 2004 mountaineer 4.0L. Thus was easy and one of the cleanest oil changes I have ever performed. Why go to the delaer when it is so eay.

Yeah, the 4.0L is cake - that's what my 2002 XLT had. However, I'm not looking forward to the first filter change on my 2004 XLT Sport with the 4.6L - it's in a BAD location!

Sometimes an indie mechanic can spot other pending problems while doing an oil change. I do mine myself (94 XLT) every other 3000 miles. The mechanic does it the other times.

Any idea of how to get rid of the "OIL CHANGE DUE" indicator in the message center display? I got my oil change done, but it still tells me "OIL CHANGE DUE"? Thanks.
