Just had a Line-X liner put in and it seems thin. Any concerns?
I just had a Line-X liner sprayed into my new F250 CC today. While the liner looks good, it seems awfully thin (1/8 inch) compared to a friends Rhino liner. From what I read on this site most people who had the Line-X were happy with them and said it was durable. I was just wondering if this is normal or should it be thicker than this? Any suggestions?
Thanks.
Thanks.

mine seemed thin as well compared to others. ive been very happy with mine. i had a trailer incident and tore and gouged the liner and destroyed a tailgate. it was patched and gate replaced resprayed with no problems.
it has held up to day to day life for almost 2 years. and my truck is not a grocery getter.

I don't know why people don't use the Penda drop in liner. They are rubberized for non skid. The have ridges which make them very strong. I throw cinder blocks in there and nothing happens. My friend has a spray in liner and when we load up the truck with rock and cinder blocks, you should see the dents he has. People complain about the liner rubbing, but you won't have dents, and it's cheaper to paint the bed than replacing it when it is all dented up. If you live in a wet area drill hole in the corners for it to drain. Check them out on line. But siince you have already sprayed in the liner, go for another coat if you can. I have seen that, it is over kill, but it works well.

The reason is cclgeo some people live in areas with humidity and salt, where the moisture under the drop-in liner can actually rust out the bed. Now I don't know about you, but Id rather have a few dings than a rusty bed!
Some people say that the drop in liners don't trap moisture blah blah blah, but I have seen a '98 pickup that had a drop in, that was a grocery getter that had several rusty spots.

Ya maybe you guys are right about the moisture, but here in San Diego we do not have that problem, so I have not noticed peoples beds rusting out. That's one good thing about the desert, you don't have the rust problem, but look out for your interior, they will crack and split very fast under the intense sunlight.
