Actually motor and engine have nearly the same definition. I think Motor is a more basic definition while engine is a bit more specific to converting thermal energy to Mechanical force.

Talking Give the HEMI its credit.

The HEMI is a great motor along with the Cummins turbo diesel. I am a Ford truck man and I love the super duty. I have to give credit to dodge, they have come along way with powertrain in a short amount of years.

I am also becoming a dodge truck fan especialy with that new power wagon, know that is a truck.

with me the powerstroke and the cummins are close competitors, but the duramnax sucks. It has the most cubic displacement and the worste performance. The truck rides on spare tires, and the motor is manufactured by mitsubishi. Unlike the powerstroke-international, and the cummins-cummins. I think that GM shoud cut a deal with catapilar for a new more efficient powertrain. Although I do like the alison transmition.

Actually the Duramax is made by Isuzu, not Mitsubishi.

I do believe GM and Cat talked, but nothing was established. Caterpillar doesn't want to get into the consumer market by putting their engines in small trucks. Hence why Chevy went to Isuzu.
