So will 97-03 v6 headers fit an 06 W/ V6? Is the same true for intake manifolds and throttle bodies. I thought that 97-03 throttle bodies were cable actuated and newer models were electric. So is the same true for 94-98 mustang parts?

all essex model (3.8/3.9/4.2/4.3) are similar, newer ones are drive by wire (which i cant stand) but upgradeing the TB is a next to nothing gain even when you port to match the upper.

i was refering to the 94-98 mustang exhaust manifolds, the stock manifolds are tubular style, (basically short tubes) with the 2.5" collector instead of the 2.25"

I feel as if I'm running in circles. I've been to diablo's web site. The dealers in my area do not sell a chip for the 4.2l

I want someone to post a link showing me what chip everyone is talking about... thanks

This is great info guys but there is still one question that i have, because in other threads some say its not worth it to mod the truck unless you go all out like some of the posts here suggest. I have recently bought a 2008 F150 4.2L and i like the stock performance but I'm unhappy with the way it shifts (automatic) would it help at all with MPG if i get a jet tuner and just firm up the shifting and mod nothing else? it seems to me that a firmer shift is all this truck needs. what do some of you think?
