cab removal for engine replacement?

I was recently told that in order to replace motors in these truck it neccessary to remove the CAB! I kinda scoffed at this, but after a quick look at my 4.6 it does look pretty tight in there. I don't need a new motor, just wondering. Surely this isn't true

It's not neccessary but I find it way easier to remove the body than to try to get the engine out from under the hood. I've done quite a few this way now.
For some pictures of what this looks like go to http://flatratetech.com/images/nav_how_to.htm

Thanks Racerguy, it doesn't look so bad after seeing the pictures. In my head I was pictureing much more actual disassembly.

It really isn't bad to do.
I can have the body off in about an hour.
After that working on the engine is a piece of cake.

Dang. That way would be so much easier. I just swapped out a 4.6 in an F150 while parked on the street, so it can be done. I guess having something to lift the body is the hard part for the do it yourselfer. My knuckles would have been so grateful.
