I want to get a effecient air intake set up. Has anyone used the AFE or others? Any advise or input would be appreciated.

i love mine, it goes on very easily, flows much better than stock, and is as quiet as stock, and it keeps the filter minder so you know when its dirty, i did notice a slight hp increase and a much peppier motor

 

It does not retain the filter minder on 99-01 trucks.

I have the AFE intake on my 2002 PSD Excursion and am quite happy with it. I did notice a slight gain in my average MPG, and the truck seems alot more responsive. I actually did some cutting of the stock lower airbox to get some more air in - which might be the reason why mine is so LOUD !!! , which is a good thing in my opinion.....
