I want to drop my 4x4 Explorer

first off I heard that 4x4's cant be dropped, then I heard they can. If so, what do I need to know what kind of kit I need to drop it and what kind of shop would I need to take it too?

try explorerexpress.com They have full lowering kits, nothing extreme just a few inches. If you cant do it, or get to their shop in CA im sure any trusted local mech. and cash will get it installed
