I was leaning toward Gibson myself, but I heard most people express that it wasn't what they were looking for as far as sounds; however, all are happy about their setup. After hearing the Magnaflow, I pretty much made up my mind. I'm going with Magnaflow. I'm not so sure about the FlowMaster. I heard it was really loud. Maybe too loud for my taste. Well, enjoy your new mod!
Can't go wrong with the Borla. I had to replace the Gibson set-up twice on my Bronco. It rotted out in no time. Vowed to never give that company a nickel again.
Fortunately we don't have to deal with the salt in Texas! Gibson does make a stainless version now, but I understand your position. Burned twice is once too many!
That road salt did a number on the floorboards, tailgate and rocker panels too.Guess all I'd have to worry about in TX is the excessive heat warping the frame.
Not that mine is but driving a white truck in a January blizzard is a bit risky. Snow is a good excuse to "play" in four wheel drive. Oops, guess this thread went off topic. Oh yes, like I was saying Borla = good product.
The main reason for making stainless steel exhaust systems isn't to protect them from the elements. It's because newer vehicles are so much more efficient and water is a byproduct of perfect combustion. The more efficient vehicle engines become the more water will be spitting out of our tailpipes. This is why you need/want stainless exhaust... not really because of road salt etc. etc.
In fact if you look at the factory muffler on a new F150 you'll see that there's a small drain hole for the water to escape.

And that is one big muffler might I add. I had the muffler shop throw mine in the back of my truck so that I could take it home. The muffler dude asked, "whatcha gonna do with that thing" and my reply was, "i'm gonna make me a fajita pit out of it"
