Keypad

Does anyone have any experience with these new Ford add-on keypads? Apparently they are adhesive.. no wiring required. They run for about 100 to 115 bucks. Just curious if you can use these to set automatic lock (as you drive off) and press the 7/9 keys together to lock the doors... or are they just the keypad to unlock? Wonder if the adhesive will eventually wear off. Just thought I'd ask around before dropping 100 bucks on it. Thanks!

I believe they work on RF, just like your keyfob remote. It has no connection to the speed sensor. I really doubt it can do what you want it to do.

I share your apprehension. I had an 03 Expedition EB and the keypad was built into the door. On my 04 Mustang GT, the only option was those stick on ones. I don't like the way they are about an inch thick. They just stick out like a sore thumb. Plus, the paranoia in me thinks someone will tear it off and hide behind a bush and keep trying codes until they unlock my vehicle. I know the odds are very slim, but just the thought of someone doing so bugs me.
