Bypass Oil Filter

I have a C1BA block with an oil filter. I was wondering if it would matter if I moved the oil line from the oil galley hole to by the oil pressure hole? It is just easier to get at with the engine in the truck.

Don't you have 3 ports on that Canadian block? And you just want to plug the stock hole and move the line to the upper one?

I THINK they are all connected to the same galley - pressure should be the same. The restrictor that regulates pressure is at the filter canister. Only possible problem you might see is reduced flow to the stock filter IF it doesn't connect to the galley, but it's not like these filter efficently anyway.

Either way, you won't hurt anything.
