BFG Trailmaker
Quite late in my reply, but since it appears no one answered I thought I would weigh in
I had a set of these on my 1987 4wd Ranger. Amazing tires. Rarely even needed 4wd with these tires. But with these tires AND low 4wd, it would pull through deep snow like a 1960s muscle car in a drag race. Yes really that punchy.
Went to replace them and got suckered into the Firestone ATX which was what they were putting on new stock Explorers and Rangers. Big mistake. Next time I needed replacement tires on a different vehicle the tire shop said they'd never heard of the BFG Trailmaker. Well it looks like they are now just referred to simply as All Terrain T/A. But look for the tall interlocking treads. By interlocking I mean there is no continuous grooves running the diameter at all. They are a little expensive but wow are they worth it.
