I just changed oil last night on my 02 F-350. I changed the full flow oil filter, the bypass oil filter, drained the HPO rezevior, drained the pan, installed a fumoto drain valve, and refilled with scheaffers 9000 for the first time. I put on about 18 quarts and need to double check the oil level.

 

Oh Yeah, the original question: Mine takes 15 with a new filter (which is always). I only put about 2500 miles a year on the truck now since fuel went up and my earnings went down so I change once a year. But the cars I change at 5,000 since 1. 5,000 is an easy number to remember, and 2. I read an oil report several years ago that said they couldn't tell the difference in engine wear at 100,000 miles until oil changes exceeded 7,500 miles.

 

Hi everyone I own a 95 superduty 7.3 turbo it uses about a gallon of oil every 40 miles, I have no leaks, i was told that the problem was the head valve seals, i replaced them but still uses the same amounth, any clues thanks
