Coolant leak at intake manifold
Hi. I just got my new Bronco ('90 EB, 351), and I have a question. It has a pretty significant coolant leak from the intake manifold where the thermostat housing mates up. It looks as if the DSPO tried to gob a bunch of JB weld in there to stop the leak. Is it common for the intake manifold to crack by the t-stat housing?
I'm going to pull it all apart this weekend and see what I can see, but any insight would be helpful.
Thanks!

on my truck, it seemed to me that the thermostat housing was leaking. but after removing and reinstalling it three different times, i knew it wasnt the housing. it turned out to be my intake manifold gasket. after 20 yrs, the gasket around the water ports was non existant, only to be replaced by sediment. it would leak under the t-stat housing, you can tell by just looking where the intake meets the head.
