Where the !@#$% is it???

Gentlemen,

Although I haven't owned my truck for for too long(F-250 CC) . You would think that I'd be able to locate the water seperator on my feul. Maybe it's because I'm too short to see it. I've read the manual and I still can't find the darn thing. Hope you guys can help me, by better descibing where I can look. And how often should I check it. Assuming I ever find it!!! Thanks

The fuel filter bowl is where it's at. (fuel filter bowl /water seperator)
It located at top of engine right under the cover that say's 7.3!
remove the two 10 mm nuts and remove cover and there it is. There should be a yellow handle at the rear, just twist it towards rear of engine to drain. I drain mine every month.
you shouldn't have to remove cover to drain, but you need to for a filter change. use a large pan to catch the fuel, that should be placed under the right front of engine. I put a piece of rubber tubing on the end of the drain tube cuz the factory didn't think ahead. ( It makes a real mess) thats why I said to use a large pan.
good luck

Where the !@#$% is it???

Hey Gseeders.
I haven't drained mine yet and am coming up on 5000 miles.
I didn't have any problem finding the lever but I'll be damned if i can find the outlet tube.
I posted a question a few weeks ago about the tube size so i could get some tubing to extend it and I have crawled all over under the truck and can't find the drain outlet.
Is it attaced to the crossmember? the block?
I know I can just turn the lever and look for the flow but I'd rather be prepared for the fuel pouring out.
Any help will be appreciated.

Mine is 5/16",located at front of engine, right side. just below and behind the belt tension pulley. The last 3" of the tubing has a 20 degree bent towards rear of engine.
hope this helps
