Okay I recently bought an 89 Bronco XLT and have been working on it. It throws a couple of codes that I do not know of. 21 and 67. I know that the 21 leads to the Coolant Temp Sensor, which I replaced, but it is still reading it. Also the temp sensor has the correct voltage 4.71 running to it but I do not know if it is the Sensor or the wiring to the Temp Gauge.
Also the engine is running hesitantly a bit. I think it just needs routine maintenance. Can anyone verify what exactly the code 67 means and what I should do about it?
the little one to the drivers side of the distributor screwed into the intake is the one for the gage, the other one for the ecm should be to the left of the distributor screwed into the riser tube right above the thermosat housing, it is the one that will cause falt codes.DW
