Rhino lining vs. Line-X

There is at least one more post on here on this subject. One is very sticky which means the loads won't moves easily, but, from what I gather, it also means it is hard to 'slide' things in and out of the bed.
I am the cheap guy who will do it myself... I think... Unless I hear from guys on here I should get it done by a professional.
I bought the material and all... I am waiting for the weather to cooperate. It needs to be at least 21C out (72 degrees or so).
Good luck with you research... People on here are very knowlegable... so... you will get the answers you need to make your decision.

I went with the Line-x because it has a solid feel where the Rhino has a soft rubbery feel. Prices quoted were the same except I found a $25 off coupon for the Line-X, so I saved that much. ($350 vs $375 in Lawrenceville, GA)
My Line-X dealer also removed the bolts from the tailgate in case a repair is needed to be made inside the cover can be removed. I assume Rhino would do the same.

Ibought the Hippo-Liner.

I hope it will do the trick. It was 62$ canadian per kit. One kit covers a 'compact 6 foot box' so I bought two of them....

Hi ffmedic, welcome to FTE!
This is a topic that has been discussed over numerous threads: the debate between Rhino Lining and Line-X. If you click on the "Search" function at the top of the page and search for it, you'll find a lot of good answers to it. From the various threads on the topic that I have read, the general consensus seems to be that Line-X beats Rhino. There are many out there who have been completely satisfied with Rhino, but overall there seem to be many more Line-X guys out there, and it seems that all were happy with them.
I hope this helps you out, and once again, welcome to FTE.

Oh, and I forgot to add... as far as taking bolts out of your bed before spraying, this was also discussed - many people said that you can basically request to have them left in or removed first or sprayed over by the person who installs your lining for you - just request it ahead of time and you shouldn't have any problems. So the leaving-in-of-bolts is independent of the brand of bed liner.

Thanks ryan for the reply. I tried to search it earlier and it didn't come up with anything. I probably entered it in wrong. I was leaning towards the Line-X just for that same reason that a lot of people I talk to like the Line-X better. I will have to request them not take the bolts out. Thanks again!

I did a lot of research before I got mine, including a lot of thread reading. I found that Line-X was the most durable, and the best for your money. The Rhino fades and gets damaged more easily since it is softer. It being softer also makes it grip better, but I actually prefer a liner that allows more slippage since I'm a short guy at 5'8" and need to slide in and out of my bed, which comes up to my neck. Hope this helps some.

I think you can easily find a number of truck owners that are completely satisfied with either Rhino or Line-X. They are both great products with a few differences. No matter which brand you choose, the quality of the liner is very heavily dependent on the skill level of the person doing the application. Bad applicators can lead to uneven spray, overspray onto your truck's paint, and unclean edges with dripping and so forth. My advice....if you live in an area that both are available, go and observe their application process or at least see the final results of another truckbed that they are spraying that day. That way, with either Rhino or Line-X you can't go wrong.
BTW...I chose Rhino after watching them do another truck. They did remove all the bolts, tie-down, and the plate on the tailgate prior to application. I am completely satisfied with it.

Don't forget Line-X has a nation wide warrenty. Any dealer any where will honor it. Rhino did not offer that. You would have to take it back to where you had it sprayed. Since both are franchise type businesses and dealers will come and go it is nice to know that if needed you will be able to get your liner repaired.
I have had the Line-X for six months and love it. Like the other posts I reshearched both and talked with many people and Line-X just seemed like the better buy. The material just seemed to be of a stoughter quality. I did see some Rhino liners that had faded but not a Line-X.
