Who makes the ZF transmission found in Ford trucks?

This is an interesting question, which I am curious of too. I know when I got to see Bigfoot up close the axles have a big "ZF" on them. I am only assuming that this could possibly be the same company?

ZF is a german company that makes driveline parts and some pumps(such as power steering pumps). They hava a longer (more proper) name, but I cant think of it right now. If I can remember when I go to work monday I'll find out.

Manufacturers name = ZAHNRADFABRIK, Manufacturers location in Germany = FRIEDRICHSHAFEN, hence the abbreviations ZF.
