Stampede:
Stampede: You and family may enjoy hitting some of the many wk.end amateur car show's this spring and summer.
Most are 150 cars or truck or less. There are many wk end CRUISINS around town. There is usually two shows in CENTERBURG also Mt Vernon. Of course there is one in Bucyrus thats a little different in that it is also called "lapping the block". The town shuts down the main street n&s for about 10 blocks and there is a continous flow of street rods ,cruiser's, muscle cars pick ups etc till about 11pm. Love to hear the loud pipes.
There is also another in Newark Called LIGHT THE NIGHT ABOUT 900 to 1200 Vehicles.
Course you can all go fishing.
Hope you find some fun.
Caddy 53 Centerburg oh about 30 mi no of Cols

Metamora Indiana is not a small thing. But it sure is sweet. http://www.metamora.com/ Sorry, not real close. But I know nothing of Columbus. But I believe its just a road trip over to Metamora, Ind. I always loved going there as a kid, and as a young adult.

One word...........NATIONAL TRAILS RACEWAY........
Ok, that's three
Drag racing is always a good time. Guess I'm kinda biased there. I only go there once a year for FORD EXPO on Labor Day weekend. I'm at Dragway 42 in West Salem, Ohio every weekend. At least when it's NOT raining. It's the friendlyiest track around.

Ford Expo is a good deal.I have been to every one of them and although it's not what it used to be,it's still a big ALL FORD drag race.It seems like a lot of the shows and swap meets aren't what they used to be but I'm a drag racer first anyway. The spring and fall swap meets at Columbus are really good too.I took my son to the fall swap last year, his first, and he loved it.He's already asked about the next one.I think I have him brainwashed in hot rods and Fords.
