okay these are the differnces they will all interchange but to a real ford nut we could tell if they were put on the wrong year trucks
1) grill
2) instrument cluster (may vary with options added)
3) bed (missing the light in the rear side of bed)
4) the little f-100 on the hood 68+ had reflector 67 had painted ones
5) interior mainly heater ***** and placement
6) door (inside) 68+ had a handle that you grabbed and squezzed agianst the arm rest 67 had a handle that went up and down
7) Badgeing is on the cab of the truck 68+ put them on the bed and the lower fender
I may have missed a few but these are the few differnce between my
67 and 68 69 71 72
My favorite old truck would be a 68 69 Ranger with all the crome and two tone paint now they are sweet if you want a harder one to restore look for a 72 ranger xlt with the wide crome and the wood grain instment cluster and the tool box in the side of the bed

Like the '67 has no door locks, it uses the inside handle, so the door panels are different. The heater controls are the old push/pull cable type, instead of the newer bodies with sideways movement. The overall main body parts are identical, and most all will interchange. Grills are different, interior parts are different. Pick up one of the resto catalogs and see the parts break downs for each year style.
As for one being more difficult...not sure. I think most any are getting harder to find parts for.

The F-100 is a 1/2ton model and the 250 a 3/4ton. Body wise I think they are identical. With the exception of hood emblems. Springs are heavy duty with the F250 and you will have 8-lug axles(dana 60) and maybe coilover helpers on your shocks. Those are the only differences I can think of at the moment. I had a 69 250 that was identical to my two 67s besides the interiors and axles.

When I was looking for a resto-rod project I wanted the rarest of them, since I thought that would be the coolest when its done, so I went with a '67. Also, there is no smog equipment on a 67 so I can "hotrod" it out as much as I want without worrying about emisions. I also wanted to have a tow rig with a camper so I chose the F250. If you just want a daily driver and won't be towing much or hauling much I'd go with the F100.
