id a 460 year?
have an older motorhome with a unknown 460 in it. a tag on valve cover reads\
E1UE 9C 485-V8 Engine family 7./7.5 E ERG/A\P PLUG ASF42-Timming 8 btc
my question ,is this an 1985 engine ? or how would one best find the year of this motor? thanks

You have to check the casting codes to determine what it is & when it was made.
The E1 only means it was designed for that year, but could apply to later years.That could be just for the sticker.
The casting codes on the block are on the side of the block in behind & above the starter.
On The heads just below the sparkplugs on the head lip.
There are also casting numbers on the intake manifold.
