'69 460.. PS Pump behind crankshaft damper?

Does anyone have experience with PS pumps that are mounted behind the damper concentric with the crankshaft? This is my first BB and I have never seen this before. The engine came out of a '69 Lincoln Continental, and I am putting it in my 79 F150. Is this a good setup? Did they all come like that?

Thanks

Dan

There is a spacer that will go between the damper and the timing cover. I found one for $5 on E-Bay. The brackets from a later model should bolt on for the P/S. I'm not sure what year Ford changed the location but any late/mid 70's should work from the junkyard. I have put a 69 in my 79 Bronco and it really went a lot smoother than I thought it would when I started.

Hope this helps.
