spark plugs and wires

spark plugs and wires

I need help changing out spark plugs and wires i have 99,450 mile on my truck......I've heard that i should stay with moter craft plug if so should i go with platinum or regular moter crafts someone also told me about denso plugs and using NGK or ACCELL wires. someone please help me out because don't want to put the wrong thing in my truck.

Stay with Motorcraft double platinums, or the new "fine wire" platinums.....You're POLL isn't set up right....

Howdy and welcome to FTE! I'd vote, but I'm not sure what I'd be voting for

You might want to edit your poll or tell me what you want and I can do that for you.

FWIW: I used and suggest using OEM replacements: Motorcraft wires and plugs.

They have both worked very nicely for me.

It's hard for me to get Motorcraft plugs here and the dealer charges 8 bucks each. Autolites for 1.29 work great, you just have to set the gap before you install them. Again, motorcraft wires, expensive and hard to get for me. I upgraded to Taylor SpiroPro wires. They are far superior and only 79.00 for a set. Accel's are a semi decent upgrade as well, but quite generic from an overall performance standpoint.

thanks on the info on the spark plugs and wires I think I;ll get the taylor wires

They don't make them specific for our trucks so you have to get the universal kit and cut them yourself. Takes about 2 hours.

new plugs and wires huh........while ur in there change ur voltage regulator...just to be safe....
