Got the front end alignment done today. Just as I thought it is off, glad I spent the 60 bucks to get that done!! The shop did not have the specs, thanks to whoever had them posted. They gladly used them and kept the sheet for anymore that come to thier shop. Also saved me 10 bucks by giving that to them.

I would tell anyone that is going to do this to retighten the bolts within a day of driving. Took me about 3 hours and a little knowledge, sure is not worth the 150-200 dollars to have it done.
It does look great but doesn't leveling the truck like that take away from the aerodynamics design of the trucks? Won't you get less gas mileage?

I've read in various threads that Ford will do all front end allignments for free for first 12,000 miles. My cheap dealership will need to see that in black and white.

Gas mileage is not affected at all, mine went up almost a mile per gallon but I think that the engine is just breaking in. I am getting almost 15 mpg with the 5.4 4x4

Some redundant info at:

LOL!

I was confused I thought I was reading one post then realized it was another on the same subject.

Take Care,

Just curious...

Are you doing this at the dealer to correct a problem found on the 04 F150 strut or LCA and corrected by installing the updated/redesigned 05 parts? I would really like to hear more on this subject.

PS I have spoken to the owner of www.chaosfab.com (well known for their Toyota and Nissan suspension products) and they are possibly interested in designing a long travel kit for the new style F150's. Interested but no planned date as of yet as to when this process may begin. I have offered to donate a truck for R&D whenever they need one. Given their proven track record and unsurpassed quality...they are the best logical choice for tackling this in my opinion. NOTE: Please do not call them asking them when this will be available unless your calling just to voice that you would be interested in more info as it becomes available. I do not want them ticked at me because they are slammed with calls with questions they can't yet answer. LOL!

Just curious...
No I don't work in a dealership... I work directly for Ford Motor Company in the Crash Development Center. This change has nothing to do with quality issues... only cost savings.
