MAN! i can believe how annoying it is to drive my ranger above 50mph! it bounces (well the dash bounces and rattles HARD) i went and got my tools.... tightend the dash up.... but it was all already tight... ok.... so i go for a drive..... cd player STILL skiping everytime i hit the SLIGHTEST bump/crack in the road above 50mph...... really bad but the CD player is a GOOD cdplayer.... its not just the cd player... it really is a rough ride for the driver/passanger and the whole dash just BANGS! everytime you hit a bump.....
im POSATIVE it is not the dash loose.... i checked that.... i know the CD player isnt TOUCHY because i had it in my previous blazer that i could listen to it offroad never had a problem...... when i have this guy offroad it doesnt skip under 20mph offroad... and thats hitting some big bumps/ ditches..
im guessing my shocks/springs or something up there are just GONE! my front end sags about 3" more than the rear..... its nothing in my cab that is the issue..... any suggestions? sound familiar? thanks
I have like the same problem w/ my 00 2.5L 2wd. Not that bad, however. I just had it alligned and all tires balanced. My passenger seat doesn't vibrate as much now over 50 mph. I had a tow-in problem. My truck still vibrates because I think it needs new shocks in front. The truck has 40K on it. I have radials on the truck. The stock shocks they put on these trucks don't last long I'm told.
Yes, I agree, shocks are a weak point on Rangers!! I changed out the OEM shocks on my 1999 at 36K miles, replacing them with Bilsteins, and it rides much better!!!
