Did they make a F250 regular Cab / Shortbed?

Can someone settle a "disagreement" that a friend and I have?

Did they make a 1977 Factory Regular Cab Shortbed F250? (117 wheelbase)

I was looking thru my shop manuals and the only option that I see for an F250 = 133 wheelbase.

I wanted a shortbed truck, so I bought a 1977 F150 Shortbed 4x4.

My friend thinks I should have gotten the F250, I didn't think they made one.

Thanks all. Eric

I think you're right. I've only ever seen mention of a F100/F150 regular cab short bed never a F250.

And to the O/P, No, they didn't make a regular cab short bed F250. Only time you could get a short bed on an F250 was when it was a crew cab.

Pretty sure they figured it out back in 2004 when this thread was started.

What ever engineer/designer at Ford came up with a seven-lug version is a knucklehead... probably the same idiot who put the horn "button" on the turn signal stalk.

Probably the same engineer that developed the 4-wheel steer Cheby pickups that were such a smash hit......

Or what's up with the "Platinum edition" 63,000$ F150's?? I don't understand? come on

just an fyi - I'm sure some of you know that you could also get a shortbed F250 with a supercab. Unfortunately not in 4wd, that would've been sweet. Probably a trailer special. And that signal-stalk-horn thing was horrible. Broke the plastic T-Bird emblem hammering the horn during an emergency maneuvre. hit that stalk with some gusto & see if it survives. If you remember where it is in time.

I believe I've seen a couple 1973-79 F250 crew cabs with the short bed.
