What gears?
I know it may sound like a stupid question, but, I have no idea what gears I have in my truck. Its an '84 300, 4spd with granny, 4x4 with a NP208 T-case, 8.8" rear end. Anyone have a good guesstimate as to what I might have back there? Also, i am running 33" BFG's, would it be cost effective to change the gears? I can start in second no problem, and does ok on the highway, but the engine is screamin if i keep up with people on the highway. Doing a rebuild right now, bored .30 over, Holley 4160 550cfm carb (I know...too big...but, thats what I got, and has been on there for awhile), straight pipes with glass pack, no emissions (TRUCK tags), Duraspark II swap, and Crane truck cam. Any recomendations as far as gearing? Thanks!
