I have a 2000 psd and the dang thing runs like it is loading up. I pull a hill and half way up it cleans up and runs like a raped ape. I back the trailer in my garage and it lopes like a big cam dragster. yesterday it was running like it was loading up and stopped at a light and the dang thing just shuts down all lights worked and it would not start for 3 minutes..... Took it right to the dealer and when i went to leave it shut down again in reverse.... I pulled my chip and it still would not start for 3 more minutes..... The last time it stalled (i think i got water'd gas)....... The dealer have not been able to solve it and since they do not get an error code they can't fix it.... Anyone have any ideas..........

 

Possibly a Cam Postion Sensor.

it was a cam position sensor..... still loads up and sounds like a big cam dragster from time to time

Hey Steve, the CPS seems to be the"fix". Shonuff, would not want to hear You singing the "Duramax Blues" Would that be sung in Japanese or English? I think the chorus is luv them aluminum heads

 

The problem with the duramax is their gasket, they need a rubber/cork combo gasket. At least thats what I've heard.
The true dark side would be a Dodge with a cummins. Oh ---- I did it again I said Dodge. Sorry for my profainity.
