Squeak in steering column???

Squeak in steering column???

I recently noticed a squeak when I turn the steering wheel, especially just after start up/warm up. It only squeaks at first, then goes away, but I just wanted to see if this is the tip of the iceberg for a problem???

Same here. It's been that way for a couple of years. If it has gotten worse, I couldn't tell ya, I'm used to it.
But, I can't see it hurting a thing. It's just annoying...at first.

Look under the dash and you'll see that the steering column goes through a rubber grommet attached to the firewall. Squirt some silicone lubricant around it to quiet it. Seems to last for several months.
