Dragstrip ETs from Ford Trucks vs. Chevy Trucks

I was curious to know if anybody took their trucks to the strip. I havent seen any Ford trucks besides the lightnings at the strip and they do put up some low ETs in the 8th mile times. A friend of mine has a '00 Chevy silverado reg. cab short bed 4X2 with a 327 automatic and was running 9.80's in an 8th completely stock. I have a 92 4X4 306 but I havent run it yet. Lots of mods and like I said I was curious what kind of Ets anyones ran or seen ran between the two brands.

mtomac,
11.95 sounds a little fishy for a stock 3/4 ton truck.

Thought we were talking stock trucks here, guess not. What about the trap speed, seems normal for a high 11 run.

cool, sounds like a fun ride. I wish I had my 78 on the strip before I sold it, I guess it would run in the high 15s low 16s?
